My favorite band is Wilco and I absolutley love Jeff Tweedy's solo work. My fav. Wilco Cd's are the following in order from most favorite to least favorite: Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, A Ghost is Born, summer Teeth, Being There and A.M. I'm a sucker for anything indie rockish (Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Arcade Fire, Interpol, Brian Jonestown Massacre, etc.) I also enjoy a great deal of classic rock, especially Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and The Rolling Stones. My favorite Bob Dylan Cd is Nashville Skyline and my fav Neil Young is On the Beach. I also like some hip hop. A little bit of the mainstream stuff such as Kanye West, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., 50 Cent, etc. I also like some more of the indie hip hop stuff, my fav. label of that sort is def jux which includes Aesop Rock and Cannibal Ox. My favorite hip hop cd ever would have to be Cannibal Ox's one and only album, The cold Vein. Even if you detest hip hop and all it stands for, give it a listen, it made me a believer.
An artist that I just started listening to a couple of months ago who is quickly becoming one of my favorites is sufjan stevens. His album seven swans is absolutley incredible and his newest album Illinois is nothing short of a musical miracle.
That's about it I guess, I'm open to every type of music, music is my life, my iPod is a part of my soul!
