All Men Play On Ten performed by Manowar
| |
 | |
: Tried your recommandation. Very poor music. Erased it.
: hmmm... such a painfully earnest rock comment, in such an irony saturated market. I think you may have missed the point somewhat. Lighten up kid, and broaden your scope.

: The Twilight Singers (actually just Greg Dulli, from the Afghan Whigs, and Mark Lanegan from The Screaming Trees) just released a very good cover of this on their album SHE LOVES YOU, which I highly recommend...

I’ve Been Wrong Before performed by Cilla Black

| |
 | |
: I adore this recording. I don't understand why it wasn't an even bigger hit for Cilla at the time but I can totally understand why composer Randy Newman loves it. Cilla in her prime - unstoppable!!

Ne dans un ice-cream performed by Michel Polnareff

 | |
: Totally agree ... all Polnaref's early 70s albums have killer tunes backed up by orchestrations to die for
: The orchestra backing on Polnareff's is excellent and was recorded in the UK using UK session musicians who also played on some of the best groovy uk library and soundtrack music of the late 60s. Try the three instrumentals on Polnareff's - so funky they're ridiculous!

Time Jesum Transeuntum Et Non Riverentum performed by Nick Cave and The Dirty Three

| |
 | |
: A brilliant collaboration. One that should be commited to an entire album to say the least. Also look for Dirty 3's "Sharks" EP, which has Nick and the boys doing a great version of "Running Scared" live. I think it's a promo tour release from 98'.
